A body has been found in the sewer pipe of a former building in St Louis.
The Lad, a conservative publication, is reporting the body of a rat found dead on the ground in the basement, with the death not suspiciously suspicious.
The Lad also reports that it was discovered by an employee cleaning the sewer tank.
The building’s owner, Joe C. St Louis of St Louis-based St Louis Business, told The Lad that his building was built in 1949.
St Louis Business owns the building, which was constructed in the late 1950s.
St. Louis County Police were called to the building at around 1:00 p.m.
Monday to investigate a report of a deceased rat, according to The Lad.
The body was discovered inside the sewer line.
Police said they found the rat inside a garbage bag and identified it as a rat that was found dead in the sewage tank of a St Louis business.
No foul play was suspected, according the Lad.
The dead rat was brought to a veterinarian for an autopsy, the Lad reported.
